Reima Rytsola was named CEO of Solidium, an investment holding company owned by Finland, said a news release Monday.
He will replace Antti Makinen, who is leaving the sovereign wealth fund at the end of May, according to the news release. Mr. Rytsola will start no later than October, and until then, Ulla Palmunen, general counsel, will serve as acting CEO.
Mr. Rytsola is currently deputy CEO for investments at Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Co., Helsinki, with €59 billion ($64.8 billion) in assets. He joined Varma in 2014. An email to Varma spokeswoman Katri Viippola for details on his replacement was not immediately returned.
