Park Dae-yang joined Korea Investment Corp. on Monday as chief investment officer of the sovereign wealth fund, a news release said.
He replaces Shinwoo Kang, who served a three-year stint as CIO through June.
Mr. Park comes to the sovereign wealth fund — which reported a 3.7% decline for 2018 that left its portfolio valued at $131.6 billion — from the 15 trillion won ($12.4 billion) Korea Teachers' Pension Fund, where he served as chief investment officer.
A spokesman for the Teachers' Pension Fund couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
