The Korea Investment Corporation, Seoul, appointed Sangmin Lee to the position of chief operating officer and Ikho Suh as chief compliance officer, according to a Friday statement.
Both positions will be made effective on July 1.
Mr. Lee has been with the sovereign wealth fund since 2006 and was most recently chief compliance officer. He will replace current COO Jihwan Chung, who completes his three-year term on Friday and will leave KIC, a spokesman confirmed.
At KIC, which has $169.3 billion in assets, Mr. Lee held various positions such as head of the investment operations management division, president of the Singapore office and head of the corporate strategy group.
Mr. Suh replaces Mr. Lee as chief compliance officer. Mr. Suh joined KIC in 2005 and previously led the general and financial affairs group at the fund.
