Hoon Lee, senior managing director and head of Seoul-based Korea Investment Corp.'s investment strategy division, was made the head of the sovereign wealth fund's new investment strategy and innovation division established as part of an organizational restructuring, a KIC spokeswoman said.
With the restructuring, KIC's alternatives investment division will no longer have its own investment strategy group, positioning Mr. Lee's new division to "oversee holistic strategic planning, asset allocation and responsible investment," the spokeswoman said.
In other developments, Seungkul Lee, a managing director and head of KIC's real estate group, was named head of the fund's investment strategy and innovation group within the investment strategy and innovation division.
Hoon "Joseph" Cha, managing director an head of KIC's infrastructure group, was named head of the real estate group, while Seojin Choi, a senior director on KIC's infrastructure team was promoted to head of that group.
