Surveys listed below pertain to certain special reports on Pensions & Investments' editorial calendar or schedule where data are collected using proprietary questionnaires. Results are published in print on the issue date listed (certain content might be posted online earlier). P&I may also reuse the data for subsequent reports and other purposes. Survey data are available in the research center by separate subscription and for purchase in the data store.

Annual survey of the top 1,000 U.S. retirement funds by total defined benefit and defined contribution plan assets. In-depth data are tracked for the top 200 funds including contributions, payouts, manager fees, asset allocations, investment strategies, key personnel, consultants, money managers, other service providers and plan features including internally managed assets, LDI, ESG, diverse managers, auto enrollment, auto escalation, lifetime income options, open-ended questions on topics such as artificial intelligence, and workforce stats.
