Yuba County, Marysville, Calif., is searching for a record keeper for its $29 million 457 plan, said Ned Taylor, senior consultant at Hyas Group, the plan's investment consultant.
The county issued an RFP for due diligence purposes, Mr. Taylor said. He added the county's intention is to consolidate to a single record keeper.
Current record keepers Nationwide Financial and Voya Financial (which provides services via the CalPERS 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan) are invited to rebid.
The RFP is available on the county's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. PDT on Sept. 27. Finalist interviews are scheduled to take place the week of Dec. 2. The timeline for a decision was not provided.
Hyas Group is assisting with the search.
Lee Ann Hennessy, buyer for the county, could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
