Wichita (Kan.) Retirement Systems is searching for an investment consultant.
The systems' joint investment committee is conducting the search due to the upcoming expiration of current consultant Callan's contract on Dec. 31, said Pam Beim, the city's pension manager. The firm is eligible to rebid, she said.
The Wichita Employees' Retirement System and Wichita Police & Fire Retirement System have a combined $1.6 billion in assets, Ms Beim said.
The target allocation is 40% domestic equities, 27% international equities, 20% fixed income, 7% real estate, 5% timber and 1% cash.
The RFP is available on BidNetDirect. Registration is required. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. CDT on Oct. 27. A selection is scheduled to be announced on Dec. 14.
