Westfield (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System rehired State Street Global Advisors to manage a total of about $45 million in passive equity and fixed income portfolios, said Liam Browne, executive director, in an email.
The $300 million pension fund issued an RFP in August due to state procurement requirements, Mr. Browne said at the time.
SSGA runs multiple portfolios of index strategies for the system, including domestic equities, emerging markets equities, international equities, broad fixed income, and U.S. Treasury inflation-protected securities.
Mellon Investments was the other finalist, Mr. Browne said.
Investment consultant Fiducient Advisors assisted.
