Wayne County Employees' Retirement System, Detroit, hired Cooke & Bieler and Seizert Capital Partners to run $40 million each in active domestic large-cap value equities.
The $1 billion pension fund's board approved the hirings at its Sept. 28 meeting, recently released meeting minutes show.
Funding sources were not provided in the minutes.
Investment consultant AndCo Consulting assisted.
Robert Grden, executive director; Henry Wilson, chairman of the board; and Cassandra McDonald, vice chairwoman of the board; did not respond to requests for further information.
