Watertown (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an active emerging markets core equity manager to run between $5 million and $8 million.
The $250 million pension fund has issued an RFP for a second emerging markets equity manager to complement current manager Acadian Asset Management, said Barbara A. Sheehan, the pension fund's director, in an email. She did not provide a funding source for the new allocation.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to international equities was 20.7%; the target is 21.8%.
The RFP is available on the website of investment consultant Fiducient Advisors, which is assisting with the search. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EDT on June 12, and a timeline for a selection was not provided.
