Vulcan Materials Co., Birmingham, Ala., hired Empower Retirement as record keeper of its two 401(k) plans, the company disclosed in its recent 11-K filings with the SEC.
Empower replaced Alight Solutions effective Oct. 1, according to the June 27 filings.
The reason for the change was not provided.
As of Dec. 31, the Vulcan 401(k) Plan and Vulcan Materials Co. Construction Materials Divisions Hourly Employees Savings Plan had $789 million and $111 million in assets, respectively, according to the filings. The filings did not provide information on the plans' investment options.
Vulcan Materials officials could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
