Virginia Retirement System, Richmond, disclosed a new commitment and a new investment totaling $500 million.
The $114.8 billion pension fund committed $300 million to Trident X, a buyout fund managed by Stone Point Capital, and invested $200 million in MV Real Estate SMA I, a closed-end separate account focused on core real estate managed by Meadow Partners, a VRS spokesperson said.
As of Sept. 11, the actual allocations to private equity and real assets were 16.6% and 12.4%, respectively; their respective targets are 16% and 14%.
