Virginia Retirement System, Richmond, committed $475 million to private equity, according to documents from the $80.4 billion pension fund's board meeting Thursday.
The pension fund committed $325 million to TA XIII, a global growth equity fund managed by TA Associates, and $150 million to Advent Global Private Equity IX, a global mega buyout fund managed by Advent International focusing on leveraged buyouts, corporate carve-outs and growth equity investments primarily in Europe and North America.
