The Vermont Pension Investment Commission, Montpelier, committed $50 million to the Copenhagen Infrastructure V fund on behalf of the $6.2 billion Vermont State Retirement Systems, according to Katie Green, VPIC's deputy chief investment officer.
The commitment to the infrastructure core fund managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners was approved at a VPIC meeting on Jan. 23 and represents VPIC's first investment with the asset manager, Green said in an email.
As of Dec. 31, VPIC had no assets allocated to private infrastructure. Its target allocation is 3%.
The three pension funds that make up the Vermont State Retirement Systems are the Vermont Municipal Employees' Retirement System, Vermont State Teachers' Retirement System and the Vermont State Employees' Retirement System.
