University of Kentucky, Lexington, made two new commitments totaling $18 million for its $1.6 billion endowment.
Investment staff committed $10 million to Lime Rock New Energy I, a growth equity fund managed by Lime Rock Management that invests in energy companies with a positive environmental impact; and $8 million to IPI Partners II, an infrastructure fund investing in data centers that is managed by a joint venture of ICONIQ Capital and Iron Point Partners, said Todd Shupp, chief investment officer, in an email.
The endowment's private real assets target is 11%.
Mr. Shupp declined to comment further.
