University of Houston System's endowment management committee approved four new commitments totaling $37.5 million on behalf of the system's $1.1 billion endowment at its Dec. 2 meeting, a webcast of the meeting showed.
The committee approved private equity commitments of $10 million each to GCM Grosvenor Advance Fund, a private equity fund of funds targeting investments with diverse and emerging managers; buyout fund Silver Lake Partners VIII; and WindRose Health Investors Fund VI, a middle-market buyout fund targeting the health-care sector.
As of Sept. 30, the endowment's actual allocation to private equity was 24.3%.
In real assets, the committee approved a commitment of $7.5 million to Dalfen Last Mile V, a value-added real estate fund managed by Dalfen Industrial.
As of Sept. 30, the endowment's actual allocation to real assets was 9.1%.
Investment consultant NEPC assisted.
