Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin, announced new commitments totaling $450 million completed in February.
The $211.6 billion pension fund committed $150 million to BPEA Private Equity Fund IX (No. 2), an Asia-focused buyout fund managed by EQT Private Capital Asia; and $100 million each to CS Bevo I, a value-added real estate fund managed by CSF Asset Management; Gavin Generation Holdings A, an opportunistic energy fund managed by Energy Capital Partners Management; and NGP Royalty Partners III, an oil and gas fund managed by NGP Energy Capital Management, according to an investment update emailed by spokesman Rob Maxwell.
As of Sept. 30, the pension fund’s actual allocations to private equity; real estate; and its energy, natural resources and infrastructure asset class were 15.8%, 14.1% and 6.8%, respectively; their respective long-term policy targets are 14%, 15% and 6%.
