Texas Teacher Retirement System, Texas, disclosed two new private equity commitments totaling $175 million.
The $211.6 billion pension fund disclosed November commitments of $100 million to KCO Fund Co-Invest, a buyout co-investment fund managed by Kingswood Capital Management, and $75 million to Frazier Healthcare Growth Buyout Fund XI, a buyout fund managed by Frazier Healthcare Partners, in an investment update emailed by spokesman Rob Maxwell.
The pension fund in June had made a commitment of $70 million to Kingswood Capital Opportunities Fund III. Frazier Management is a new manager for the pension fund.
As of Sept. 30, the pension fund’s actual allocation to private equity was 15.8%; the long-term policy target is 14%.
