Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin, committed $75 million to KKR Global Infrastructure Investors V.
The $202 billion pension fund disclosed the July 26 commitment to the value-added infrastructure fund managed by KKR & Co. in an investment update emailed by spokesman Rob Maxwell.
TRS has had a long relationship with KKR, primarily in private equity, which includes the Alamo Fund, a venture capital/growth equity separate account that invests in international emerging markets.
As of March 31, the actual allocation to the pension fund’s energy, natural resources and infrastructure asset class was 6.8%; the target is 6%.
