Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin, announced new commitments totaling $181 million completed during January.
The $211.6 billion pension fund committed $100 million to Oaktree Olorin Investment Fund, a buyout fund managed by Oaktree Capital Management; $50 million to CSF IV, a value-added real estate fund managed by CSF Asset Management; and €30 million ($31 million) to PIMCO Brera Fund, a buyout fund managed by Pacific Investment Management Co., according to an investment update emailed by spokesman Rob Maxwell.
As of Sept. 30, the pension fund’s actual allocations to private equity and real estate were 15.8% and 14.1%, respectively; their respective long-term policy targets are 14% and 15%.
