Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin, committed a total of $336 million to four investment managers in October, a transaction report for the $35.5 billion pension fund showed.
The pension fund committed to two private credit funds: $150 million to VWH Partners III, run by VWH Capital Management; and $117 million to All Seas Capital I, managed by All Seas Capital Partners.
It also committed $50 million to Baring Asia Private Equity Fund VIII, an Asia-Pacific buyout fund managed by Baring Private Equity Asia.
In addition, Texas ERS made a follow-on commitment of $19 million to a private infrastructure co-investment, CO20180629. The pension fund had previously committed $65 million to this co-investment, confirmed Scott Osborn, financial analyst, in an email. The retirement system doesn’t reveal names of managers or investments in co-investments as a matter of policy.
