The $30.7 billion Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin, committed $75 million to Charlesbank Equity Fund X from its $5.3 billion private equity portfolio, a transaction report showed.
Charlesbank Capital Partners will seek investments in companies in the business services, industrial, health care and technology sectors.
The latest commitment is TCDRS' second allocation to Charlesbank this year. In January, investment officers committed $50 million to the Charlesbank Technology Opportunities Fund.
With the inclusion of the latest Charlesbank commitment, TCDRS has earmarked a total of $2.2 billion to 31 private equity/venture capital funds managed by 25 firms year-to-date Monday, according to the system's most recent transaction report.
In all of 2019, TCDRS committed a total of $1.2 billion to 28 private equity/venture capital funds run by 27 managers, an earlier report showed.
