The $29.1 billion Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin, made its second commitment to H.I.G. Capital this year from its $5.6 billion private equity/venture capital portfolio, a transaction report showed.
The system's investment team committed $30 million to H.I.G. Capital Partners VI. In March, TCDRS reported it committed £100 million ($110 million) to H.I.G. Europe Middle Market LBO Fund.
With the addition of the second H.I.G commitment, the system has earmarked a total of $1 billion to 18 private equity/venture capital funds run by 15 firms through July 20.
In all of 2019, TMRS committed a total of $1.2 billion to 28 funds private equity/venture capital fund managed by 27 firms, transaction reports showed.
