The $32.1 billion Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin, committed $65 million to existing private equity manager TA Associates for investment in TA Select Opportunities Fund-A, a transaction report showed.
TA Associates' portfolio managers will make minority growth equity investments in companies previously invested in by TA's private equity funds that are experiencing a full or partial exit led by an independent third-party money manager through the opportunities fund.
TCDRS has committed a total of $1.7 billion to 26 private equity and venture capital funds managed by 25 firms year-to-date Nov. 21, including the most recent commitment to TA Associates.
In all of 2018, the fund's investment team committed a total of $1.4 billion to 22 private equity and venture capital funds managed by 19 firms.
