The $30.7 billion Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin, committed $150 million to private equity fund GTCR Partners XIII/A&B, a transaction report showed.
The fund is to focus investment in North American core business sectors, including health care, information services, and technology and financial services.
TCDRS Investment officers committed a total of $140 million to the two prior funds in GTCR's fund family, according to transaction reports.
Including the new GTCR commitments, the TCDRS private equity team committed a total of $2.1 billion to 30 private equity/venture capital funds run by 24 money managers year-to-date Oct. 27. In all of 2019, TCDRS committed an aggregate $1.2 billion to 28 private equity and venture capital funds managed by 27 firms.
