Tennessee Department of the Treasury, Nashville, is searching for a third-party administrator for the state's $5.6 billion 401(k) plan and $791 million 457 plan.
The department has issued an RFP due to the upcoming expiration of the contract of current administrator Empower Retirement, said Shelli King, spokeswoman for state Treasurer David H. Lillard Jr., in an email.
The firm is eligible to rebid, she said. The selected administrator will also provide communication and education services for the $62.2 billion Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Nashville.
The RFP is available on the treasury department's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EST on Jan. 4. A notice of intent to award is scheduled for Feb. 7.
