Tennessee State Treasurer's Office, Nashville, is searching for a general investment consultant for the $52.1 billion Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, $3.9 billion Optional Retirement Plan, the state's $3.4 billion 401(k) plan, $650 million University of Tennessee 403(b) Plan, $644 million Tennessee Promise Scholarship Endowment Fund, $532 million 457 plan, $160 million TNStars College Savings 529 Program, $104 million Chairs of Excellence Endowment Trust and $16 million Achieving a Better Life Experience Plan.
The office issued an RFP due to the pending expiration of current consultant Verus Advisory's contract Nov. 30, said Shelli King, spokeswoman for Tennessee state Treasurer David H. Lillard Jr., who oversees the plans, in an e-mail. The firm is invited to rebid.
The RFP is available on the treasurer's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. CDT on Sept. 1. A notice of intent to award is scheduled for Sept. 23.
