Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Nashville, committed $120 million to Roark Capital Partners VII.
The $71.9 billion pension fund’s investment committee approved the commitment to the buyout fund managed by Roark Capital Group at its March 7 meeting, said Shelli King, spokeswoman for state Treasurer David Lillard Jr., who oversees the pension fund.
TCRS previously committed $160 million to Roark Capital Partners VI in 2021 and $160 million to Roark Capital Partners V in 2018.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund’s actual allocation to private equity was 12.6%; the target is 10%.
