Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Nashville, committed $175 million to Olympus Growth Fund VIII.
The $65.2 billion pension fund's investment committee approved the commitment to the buyout fund managed by Olympus Partners at its Sept. 29 meeting, said Shelli King, spokeswoman for Treasurer David H. Lillard Jr., who oversees the pension fund,
TCRS previously committed $200 million to Olympus Growth Fund VII in 2017.
As of June 30, the pension fund's actual allocation to private equity was 13.4%; the target is 10%.
