Sunrise (Fla.) Firefighters' Pension Fund hired Aristotle Capital Management to run about $12 million in active domestic large-cap value equities, and Putnam Investments to run about $2 million in active emerging markets equities.
The $146 million pension fund issued separate RFPs for the two strategies in May.
Aristotle replaces Highland Capital Management, and Putnam replaces Parametric Portfolio Associates, said Kevin Condy, director of research at Dahab Associates, the pension fund's investment consultant.
Both incumbent managers did rebid for the services, Mr. Condy said.
Other large-cap value finalists were Seizert Capital Partners and Weaver C. Barksdale & Associates, and other emerging markets equity finalists were Aubrey Capital Management and UBS Asset Management, Mr. Condy confirmed.
As of June 30, the actual allocations to domestic large-cap equities and emerging markets equities were 35% and 2.5%, respectively.
Dahab Associates assisted with the search.
