Sunrise (Fla.) Firefighters' Pension Fund is searching for an active domestic large-cap value equity manager to run $12 million and an active emerging markets equity manager to run $2 million.
The $131 million pension fund has posted two separate RFPs for the portfolios on the website of Dahab Associates, its investment consultant.
Whether these are new allocations or potential replacement managers could not be immediately learned.
As of March 31, Highland Capital Management ran a $12 million active domestic large-cap value equity portfolio for the pension fund, according to its latest investment report. Also as of March 31, Glovista Investments and Parametric Portfolio Associates ran about $2 million each in active emerging markets equity portfolios.
As of March 31, the actual allocations to domestic large-cap equities and emerging markets equities were 31.8% and 2.3%, respectively.
The emerging markets equity RFP and the large cap value RFP are available on Dahab Associates' website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EDT on July 21. Timelines for decisions have yet to be determined.
