Strathclyde Pension Fund, Glasgow, Scotland, is searching for at least one global custodian.
Custody of assets may be provided either directly or via a sub-custodian arrangement, said a notice filed with procurement website Public Contracts Scotland.
The local government pension scheme has £20.9 billion ($27.4 billion) in assets.
The current custodian is Northern Trust. Whether the incumbent may rebid could not immediately be learned.
RFPs are due Oct. 2. Further information can be obtained from the pension fund's investment consultant, Hymans Robertson.
Spokesmen for Glasgow City Council, the administering authority of the pension fund, could not immediately be reached.
