St. Mary's County, Leonardtown, Md., is searching for an investment consultant for the $98 million St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Retirement Plan, its other post-employment benefit plan and a length of service awards plan.
The county issued an RFP because it wants to hire a single investment consultant to advise on all three plans, said Catherine Pratson, the county’s director, human resources.
The county is considering both non-discretionary services and outsourced chief investment officer services. Morgan Stanley, the consultant for the retirement plan, and Asset Strategy Consultants, the consultant for the OPEB and length of service awards plan, are both invited to rebid, Ms. Pratson said.
The RFP is available on the state's procurement website. Registration is required. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EST on Feb. 26. A timeline for a decision was not provided.
