St. Louis Firefighters' Retirement Plan selected Thompson, Siegel and Walmsley to manage a new international small-cap mandate with $7.55 million in initial funding, according to minutes of the board of trustees meeting.
International market small-caps will have an initial target allocation of 5%.
Steven Roth, managing director and chief investment officer of investment consultant Dahab Associates, which assisted with the search, confirmed the Sept. 28 action. Roth said TS&W is a new manager for the fund. Funding comes from a reduction in international developed markets equities to 15% from 20%, he added.
The plan has $144.3 million in assets.
