St. Louis Firefighters' Retirement Plan issued an RFP for an emerging markets equity manager to run about $8 million of assets.
Investment consultant Dahab Associates is assisting the $170 million pension fund with the search.
Steven Roth, managing director and chief investment officer of Dahab Associates, said the current emerging markets equity manager, Wellington Management, will be invited to submit a new bid.
Wellington started managing the emerging markets equity portfolio in April 2019.
Roth also noted that there were some “performance-related concerns” regarding Wellington.
The RFP is available on Dahab's website. Proposals are due on Oct. 4 by 5 p.m. EST.
