Springfield (Mo.) Police Officers' & Firefighters' Retirement System plans to search for an investment consultant in late 2020 or early 2021.
The $453 million pension fund will issue an RFP because the pension fund recently extended the contract of current consultant Segal Marco Advisors one final time to June 30, 2021, confirmed Janell Manley, administrative director.
It is the final allowable extension before the services must be put up for bid again. Segal Marco Advisors will be invited to rebid, Ms. Manley said. A specific timeline for the search has yet to be determined.
As of June 30, the pension fund's actual allocation was: 22.9% domestic equities; 20% domestic fixed income; 15.1% international equities; 12.4% international fixed income; 10.7% emerging markets equities; 6.4% each, alternative investments and real estate; 4.5% global other; and 1.6% cash equivalent.
The city of Springfield will post the RFP on its procurement website.
