Spokane (Wash.) Employees' Retirement System rehired Hyas Group as investment consultant.
The $311 million pension fund's board approved the hiring at its Aug. 3 meeting, said Phillip Tencick, retirement director, in an email.
The pension fund had issued an RFP in April due to the acquisition of Hyas by a unit of Morgan Stanley last September. Mr. Tencick said the board decided to rehire Hyas Group without conducting finalist interviews.
As of June 30, the pension fund's actual allocation was 30.7% domestic equities, 20.6% international equities, 10.2% absolute return, 10% real estate, 8% total return, 7.5% opportunistic credit, 6.7% long-biased investments, 4.6% high yield, 1.5% special opportunities and 0.2% cash.
