South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission, Columbia, disclosed up to $652 million in commitments for the $31 billion South Carolina Retirement Systems' investment portfolio, according to board documents from its meeting Thursday.
The commitments were made June through August. In private equity, the council committed up to $200 million to Horsley Bridge Strategic Fund V, a buyout fund managed by Horsley Bridge Partners; up to €100 million ($114 million) to European buyout fund Nordic Capital Fund X; and up to $100 million Silver Lake Partners VI, a buyout fund targeting global large-cap technology firms.
The council also disclosed a commitment of up to $137.5 million to a private credit strategy run by Barings and up to $100 million to Crow Holdings Realty Partners IX, a real estate fund managed by Crow Holdings Capital.
