South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission, Columbia, disclosed up to $495 million in commitments for the $35.6 billion South Carolina Retirement Systems' investment portfolio.
The commitments were made in March and April, according to board documents from its April 15 meeting.
The council committed up to $200 million to AxInfra NA II, an open-end core infrastructure fund focusing on North America managed by Axium Infrastructure.
In private equity, the council committed up to $100 million to Stonyrock Alt Fund I, which acquires general partnership stakes predominately in middle-market firms in North America and is managed by Stonyrock Partners. Also, up to $50 million was committed to General Atlantic Investment Partners 2021, a growth equity fund, and up to $30 million to Resolve Growth Partners Fund I, a small-cap growth equity private equity manager with a focus on software.
The council committed also $75 million to Ares Pathfinder Fund, an alternative credit fund managed by Ares Management, and $40 million to ASI Hark Capital III, a private debt fund managed by Hark Capital.
