Seattle City Employees' Retirement System committed up to $30 million to Horsley Bridge Venture 14.
The $4.1 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the venture capital fund of funds managed by Horsley Bridge Partners at its April 14 meeting, said Jason Malinowski, chief investment officer, in an email.
As of Dec. 31, the actual allocation to private equity was 12.7%; the target is 11%.
Investment consultant NEPC assisted.
