San Mateo County Employees' Retirement Association, Redwood City, Calif., committed $20 million to Genstar Capital Partners XI.
The $5.9 billion pension fund disclosed the commitment to the middle-market buyout fund in materials for its upcoming April 25 meeting.
SamCERA previously committed $65 million to Genstar Capital Partners X in 2021.
As of March 31, the actual allocation to private equity was 6.5%; the target is 7%.
