San Luis Obispo County, Calif., is searching for a record keeper for its $254 million 457 plan.
The county launched a search to test the market for alternative providers for the plan, according to an RFP posted on the Public Purchase procurement website.
The current record keeper is Nationwide Financial, and the RFP said Nationwide is expected to rebid.
The plan currently has an investment option lineup consisting of 23 individual options and a target-date fund lineup managed by Vanguard Group.
The RFP is available on the Public Purchase website. Registration is required. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. PDT on March 14. A timeline for a selection has yet to be determined.
Taylor Crabb, buyer for the county, could not be immediately reached for further information.
