San Luis Obispo County (Calif.) Pension Trust has issued an RFI for a private markets search consultant.
The plan currently does not have a private markets investment consultant, confirmed Executive Director Carl Nelson in an email.
Verus Advisory is the $1.5 billion pension plan's general investment consultant, but recused itself from assisting in the search, as it also does outsourced chief investment officer work in private markets.
The RFI is available on the pension trust's website. Proposals are due March 1, with a selection expected to be made at the board's March 22 meeting.
