San Luis Obispo County (Calif.) Pension Trust committed $30 million to Brookfield Super-Core Infrastructure Partners.
The $1.7 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the open-end infrastructure fund managed by Brookfield Asset Management at its May 23 meeting, said Carl Nelson, executive director.
It is the pension fund's first commitment to an infrastructure fund since creating a 5% target to infrastructure in 2020.
