San Jose, Calif., hired Hyas Group as investment consultant for its $1 billion 457 plan, said Amy Morton, senior benefits analyst in the city's human resources department, in an email.
The city issued an RFP in September due to the pending expiration of incumbent consultant Buck's contract, Ms. Morton said at the time.
Buck did rebid for the services but was not a finalist. The other finalists were Innovest Portfolio Solutions and Meketa Investment Group.
Hyas Group will also provide investment consulting services for the city's $28 million VEBA plan and $2 million 401(a) plan.
