The board of San Joaquin County Employees Retirement Association, Stockton, Calif., has committed $40 million to Berkeley Partners Value Industrial Fund VI, a real estate value added fund managed by Berkeley Partners.
The board approved the investment on July 14, according to an information packet released in conjunction with the $4.1 billion SJCERA's board meeting on Oct. 11.
SJCERA previously committed $40 million to Berkeley Partners Fund V in August 2020, according to the information packet.
SJCERA currently has about 1.5% of its assets allocated to value-added real estate, according to data included in the packet.
