San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System will launch a search for a real assets investment consultant on March 2.
The $27.2 billion pension fund's board Wednesday approved issuing an RFP on March 2 because the contract of current consultant Cambridge Associates is expiring, an email from SFERS confirmed. The firm is eligible to rebid.
As of Jan. 31, the actual allocation to real assets was 15.6%.
The RFP will be posted March 2 on SFERS' website. Proposals will be due at 5 p.m. PDT on April 3. A selection is expected Sept. 9.
Darlene Armanino, board secretary, could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
