San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System disclosed two new commitments totaling $115 million in a report from CEO/CIO Alison Romano included in materials for its upcoming board meeting Thursday.
The $33.4 billion pension fund's board approved commitments of $65 million to Blue Torch Credit Opportunities Fund III, a special situations fund managed by Blue Torch Capital, and $50 million to venture capital fund Institutional Venture Partners XVIII in closed session at its Jan. 19 meeting, according to Ms. Romano's report.
SFERS previously committed $50 million each to Blue Torch Credit Opportunities Fund II and Institutional Venture Partners XVII, both in 2020.
As of Jan. 31, the pension fund's actual allocations to private equity and private credit were 30% and 7.4%, respectively; their respective targets are 23% and 10%.
