San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System disclosed $170 million in commitments and investments in a report from CEO/CIO Alison Romano included with materials for its upcoming Feb. 14 board meeting.
Within real assets, the $34.5 billion pension fund committed $70 million to Milestone Real Estate Investors VI, a multifamily real estate fund managed by The Milestone Group, and $60 million to SDC Digital Infrastructure Opportunity Fund IV, a global digital infrastructure fund managed by SDC Capital Partners.
The pension fund previously committed $40 million to Milestone Real Estate Investors V in 2021 and $55 million to SDC Digital Infrastructure Opportunity Fund III in 2022.
As of Jan. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to real assets was 15.2%.
Within absolute return, SFERS made an additional $25 million investment in Torus Feeder 2, a quantitative hedge fund managed by Qube Research & Technologies. SFERS originally invested $50 million in the fund in 2023.
The investment was made through San Francisco Absolute Return Investors II, a limited partnership between SFERS and Blackstone Alternative Asset Management.
As of Jan. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to absolute return was 8.7%.
Within private equity, SFERS made a follow-on commitment of $15 million to venture capital fund Institutional Venture Partners XVIII. SFERS originally committed $50 million to the fund in January 2023.
As of Jan. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to private equity was 29.1%.
