San Diego City Employees commits $50 million to real estate fund

San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System committed $50 million to RREEF Core Plus Industrial Fund, confirmed Liza Crisafi, chief investment officer, in an email.
The $8.3 billion pension fund’s board approved the commitment to DWS Group’s open-end commingled real estate fund at its meeting July 12. The pension fund previously committed $47 million in RREEF America REIT II, Ms. Crisafi said.
As of March 31, the actual allocation to real estate was 10.7%; the target is 11%.
